FAQ

Who can become a trainee at bbw and where can I apply?

Many young persons have difficulties finding a job on the general labour market because of impairments such as reading or mathematical disabilities. They might have a school-leaving qualification with low marks or none at all. Some of them have psychological disorders or an autism spectrum diagnosis. Training these young individuals cannot succeed without the kind of special support that we at bbw Südhessen are experts at.

If you are interested in becoming a trainee at bbw Südhessen, you should contact your responsible office (e.g. “Agentur für Arbeit”, “Jobcenter” or social security / pension insurance institution) very early on, because the processing of your application may take several months.  As an example, young persons with disabilities will generally contact the rehab counselling centre (“Reha-Beratungsstelle”) of their local employment agency (“Agentur für Arbeit”). There, they will apply for vocational rehabilitation. Together with your rehab counsellor, you can find out if all prerequisites for a vocational training at bbw are met. There are several other funding institutions that can fund a training, such as your responsible “Jobcenter”, social security institution or pension insurance institution. Simply contact us if you have any further questions.
